Learn about the Indigenous Adventure Fund

Outdoor Pursuits has been awarded a generous grant from the Cahuilla Band of Indians to help Fort Lewis College Indigenous students experience the outdoors. While OP trip costs are already minimal, they can still be a barrier for some. The Indigenous Adventure Fund removes that barrier—making the outdoors more accessible for all.

How to use the fund

The fund is open to all currently enrolled Indigenous Â鶹Ãâ·Ñ¸ßÇåÎÞשÂëÇøstudents. Here’s how to secure your next OP adventure:

  1. Pick a trip: Browse the OP Program Guide and choose a trip at least one week before its sign-up date.
  2. Register: Sign up in person or online and complete a short questionnaire. Your trip fee will be waived.
  3. Get ready: Attend any required pre-trip meetings.
  4. Go explore: Enjoy your adventure! Meet new people, learn a new skill, try a new activity, or discover a new place.

It’s that simple.
