Mailboxes are provided for all on-campus students. Mailbox numbers and combinations are sent prior to the start of the semester. For assistance or to retrieve your mailbox details, visit the window during service hours.

Mailbox access

  • Daily, 7 am – 7 pm in the Student Union.
  • Mail is placed in mailboxes every weekday.
  • For postal rates or further assistance, visit the window clerk during service hours.
  • A Photo ID or SkyCard is required when picking up packages. 

Window service hours

  • Monday – Friday: 9 am to 4 pm
  • Saturday – Sunday: CLOSED
  • Federal holidays: CLOSED

Special hours

  • Sunday, July 27, 2025: 10 am – 2 pm
  • Sunday, August 17, 2025: 10 am – 4 pm
  • Saturday, August 23, 2025: 9 am to 4 pm

Address format

To make sure your mail is delivered correctly, please adhere to the following guidelines.

The post office will begin receiving mail and packages two weeks before a semester starts.

Keep in mind that the delivery services do not deliver to residence halls. Addressing packages incorrectly will result in delays with the delivery and processing.

Departmental mail delivery

To make sure your departmental mail gets to you quickly, please use the following format when ordering or sharing your mailing address:

Incoming mail

USPS First class letters and parcel notifications are usually placed in mailboxes by noon. Parcels from other delivery services (i.e., FedEx, UPS) are processed throughout the day as we receive them.

Please have your student ID card or photo ID to pick up packages.

We will have carts available for you to borrow to transport your boxes to your residence hall.

Mail forwarding

After closing a 麻豆免费高清无砖码区Box, all First Class USPS will be forwarded for one year. For accurate mail delivery and forwarding, come to the Post Office and fill out a Change of Address and update your Workday account. You are responsible for up-to-date addresses. 

Off-campus students, faculty, staff, and public private mailboxes

Students living off-campus and 麻豆免费高清无砖码区community members can rent a box for $20 per semester or $50 per year.

Public can rent a box for $40 per semester or $100 per year.

Opening your mailbox

  • Spin the dial to the LEFT (counter clockwise) 3 times to clear the lock, then stop at the first number of your combination.
  • Turn the dial RIGHT (clockwise); pass the first number one time and stop at the second number.
  • Turn back to the LEFT and go directly to the third number.
  • Turn the dial RIGHT and PULL at the same time to open the door. 

We suggest taking a screen shot and adding it to your notes.

Severe Weather Policy

The Post Office follows the Student Union severe weather policy.

If Fort Lewis College Campus Closes Early:

  • Post Office will close when campus is scheduled to close.

If Fort Lewis College Campus Opens Late:

  • Post Office will open when campus opens.

If Fort Lewis College Campus is Closed for the Day:

  • Post office will be closed.
