At the Environmental Center, students lead the charge in creating a more environmentally and socially responsible world through hands-on projects that tackle critical issues. From advancing sustainability initiatives to building lasting community partnerships, students will find meaningful opportunities to make a real impact—and be part of a movement for a better future.
Guided by FLC’s Climate and Sustainability Action Plan, the EC drives sustainable change across campus and throughout the wider community. The Environmental Center connects students with opportunities to grow, learn, and lead, building a culture of environmental responsibility that radiates across the region.
Beyond student projects, the EC is a hub for sustainability resources, including collection of donation-based books and sustainability tips for everyday eco-friendly living. We host the annual Sustainability Summit and other year-round events that bring the campus and community together around shared goals.
