Welcome to Academic Affairs at FLC

Message from Mario Martinez

Welcome! At Fort Lewis College, learning and discovery meet the power of place. The natural beauty of Colorado’s environment and cultural history combined with our deep community and regional partnerships equals students at the center and hands-on learning. Students and faculty rappel, raft, ski, work with tribal and indigenous communities, crush objects to test their strength, and so much more.

The Provost's Office steers the generous resources entrusted to us while continuously elevating the student experience. You will find faculty and staff committed to the mission and work of Fort Lewis College and all we represent.

I invite you to explore our website and reach out with any questions.

Provost's priorities

Our mission is to serve and steward and to enliven student, faculty, and staff experiences.

  Degree success for all

A four-year degree empowers students to impact positively post-graduation, wherever their path leads. The goal: each student’s journey at Â鶹Ãâ·Ñ¸ßÇåÎÞשÂëÇøculminates in a degree, not debt.

  Inclusive academic practices

Inclusivity ensures equitable education access, celebrating diverse cultures and enriching FLC. The goal: equip faculty, staff, and students to learn, thrive, and foster diversity.

  Career readiness

Highlight the traditional degree's value while emphasizing practical skills and real-world experiences. The goal: ensure graduates are career or graduate school-ready.

  Innovating with AI

Strategically integrate AI to advance our mission and spur innovation. The goal: develop inclusive tools that incorporate diverse cultural and social perspectives.
