Ready for Graduation?

All degree and certificate-seeking students must Apply for Graduation in to receive your diploma and attend commencement. Apply when you register for your final semester.

Priority deadlines

Complete the Application for Graduation by the priority deadlines below. This way, the Registrar’s Office can tell you about any missing requirements before the Census Date of your final semester. You can apply to graduate anytime during the semester, but don’t wait too long!

Delaying your application could mean missing graduation events or having your name in the commencement program. Plus, you may not get the right cap and gown size.

  • Fall graduation (December): May 1
  • Spring graduation (May): December 1
  • Summer graduation (July): December 1

To get your name in the printed commencement program, submit your application by early November for Fall or early April for Spring. It must be approved before your name is included. Spring and summer graduates usually attend Spring Commencement. There is no ceremony in the summer. &Բ;

Graduation vs. Commencement

Graduation is the completion of all degree requirements, verified by the Registrar after final grades are posted. Diplomas are issued through Parchment approximately 8 weeks after the term ends.
