As institutions with large minority student populations that also serve rural areas, Fort Lewis College and San Juan College are well-suited to respond to the need for more teachers in remote areas, not only in Colorado, but New Mexico, Arizona, and Utah as well. 

With the help of donors, the Foundation created 14 new scholarships worth more than $667,000 in endowments and term scholarships. Among the new funds available to students are the Nancy Elizabeth Gallagher Basketball Scholarship, the Eula Mae and Kenneth L. Morris Scholarship, and Dene and Gordon Thomas English Scholarship.

This new partnership, along with new 麻豆免费高清无砖码区programs like the Pre-Health Certificate, will add to the College’s health sciences offerings, giving students more avenues to join the healthcare field. The College was also recently awarded just over $3 million to begin designing a new Health Sciences & Athletics Complex on campus.
