Welcome to the Katz School of Business at Fort Lewis College! The Katz School provides a high-quality education nestled in the backdrop of the San Juan Mountains. We are a distinguished institution that holds the honor of being the first public liberal arts college with AACSB international accredited undergraduate-only business programs. This prestigious accreditation, a symbol of excellence in business education, has been continuously maintained by the school since 1974, a testament to its enduring commitment to high standards.
Our goal at the Katz School of Business is to provide an innovative business education to all students. This involves integrating both theory and practice through rigorous coursework and connection to the local community. These activities prepare students for future business careers in our ever-changing world.
Our faculty are renowned for their regional and international industry experience, advanced research, and quality teaching. They are also known for being champions for their students and being eager and willing to share fun and exciting aspects of business. We offer class sizes that are capped at 38 students allowing a more engaging and connective learning environment. The faculty lead classes in Accounting, Business Economics, Business Administration, Computer Information Systems, Entrepreneurship and Small Business, Marketing, and Quantitative Business Analysis. Within these disciplines you can learn about areas such as global business, finance, tourism and hospitality, human resources, leadership, and operations. Faculty also offer classes to fulfill certificates in Ski Resort Operations, Foundations in Digital Marketing, Human Resource Management, Entrepreneurship, and Foundations in Marketing.
