About Dr. Joslynn Lee

Joslynn Lee is an Associate Professor of Biochemistry at Fort Lewis College. She joined the college in 2019. Dr. Lee has a broad background in bioinformatics, with specific training and expertise on next-generation sequencing data and structural genomics. Her current research studies how metals impact microbial community structure and function and how microbial proteins play a crucial role in the uptake and management of metals. Dr. Lee has developed an environmental microbiome research project to increase the accessibility of bioinformatics and genomics education and training in an Indigenous cultural context. Dr. Lee's earlier publications begin in computational chemistry and molecular modeling.
